Looks great, Becky [and Mark ;)] I've tried amending our soil to be more acidic (ours is REALLY alkaline) so that the blueberries will thrive, but it is an uphill battle for me.
Like you said the roots are very shallow and therefore require lots of water. Our property is in full sun and wind and therefore dries out quickly. Still, I'm not giving up on fresh blueberries. And planting under trees is a good idea - thanks!
